I liked the restaurant 'Greens attached : The room itself was acceptable and clean,The staff were just o.k. doing their job.
The location although central had the disadvantage of being in the vicinity of disturbances and late night revelry which was not condusive to a quite nights sleep.Car-parking facilities though secure are unfortunatley somewhat distant from the hotel itself. What can one do!
Beautiful hidden waterfall on the grounds of the hotel gives a relaxing feeling as you're walking up to entrance.
While the location was excellent, the room itself was facing the main street out of the city which meant there was a lot of traffic throughout the night which was quite loud. Also, the hotel seems to be quite old so the lift to the bedrooms could do with an upgrade.
Accommodation was basic and accessed via an alleyway lined with wheelie bins and crates. As this was also the rear entrance to the kitchens it was quite smelly. Without our knowledge or consent, the hotel charged €50.00 to our credit card as a 'security'. This has yet to be refunded.
The room was large and comfortable. Bathroom contained a bath (not only a shower). Besides the hotel there was a beautiful waterfall.
This is a gem of a Hotel just 5 minutes to City Centre, the staffs were friendly and the room was large and comfortable. The Restaurant Greens in the Hotel has to be one of the best in the city, seafood a speciality. Cork City has lots to offer no wonder the lonely Planet listed it as a must City to See. The Isaacs Hotel Is a Great Place to Stay in the Heart of the City.
The Hotel could do with some Modernisation and a Lick of Paint in Areas but it was still comfortable and the Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location for Cork City. Short walk to shops, bars, restaurants etc. although some on the same road as hotel. Staff helpful.
Not much to dislike!!
comfortable reasonably priced did not use the restaurant
Staff willingness to be helpful was a highlight as was the historic charm of the building
Hotel was very central to main city...Staff very friendly especially the hotel reception staff name was Peter on check in..Car park provided nearby.Rooms very comfortable..Very pleasant hotel to stay in..
The hotel has elevators which was helpful for my mother. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. The location is within walking distance of the main downtown area.
Lovely waterfall and friendly staff
It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but both the room and the entire non-smoking floor stunk of cigarette smoke. This ruined an otherwise very good hotel.
room was very cold when we checked in heating did come on until six thirty most tv channels missing iron dident work
It was such a lovely hotl the water fall in the courst yard was amazing.. The staf where very helpfull.. The hotel is located so close to the city so we didnt net to get taxis or busses :)
Liked I all
very friendly staff. Lovely food and atmosphere with an amazing waterfall outside the restaurant window. A short walk to the city centre with lots of lovely bars and restaurants on your doorstep. I also left a set of gold and diamond earings on the locker and had a phonecall within an hour of leaving to say they would put them in the post. Very impressed
What I liken about Isaacs was the location, the staff, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, overall I could find no fault with Isaacs, and I would highly recommend it to fellow travelers.
I liked everything about Isaacs.
